Hi, Bob!

I had a similar question when I bought my Project-or-View at the Stereo
Club of Southern California auction with only the coated lamps and no
metal caps; a set of copied instructions purchased from Reel 3-D
Enterprises contained a caution not to throw away the metal caps, which
concerned me. But when I talked to Reel 3D's David Starkman, who has a
lot of experience with TDC lamp replacements, he assured me that the
lamps with the coated tops are a replacement for the uncoated ones with
the caps, and only the old uncoated ones require the caps.

I strongly suggest you replace both lamps at one time, to assure even,
equal illumination of both left and right images.

Cordially,
