P3D coupling t4 yashikas

Once ago a repairman proposed me such an electrical cuopling, just shutters
shooting at the same time. He said t4s' auto exposure is very accurate, so a
master-slave type circuit for exposure is unnecessary. I pointed out that I
was afraid of active auto-focus (could the cameras read each-other's
sampling IR beams?) but he replied he already did such a coupling without
noticing the problem. Short time after our talks, I bought my 1st stereo
camera & didn't care anymore about coupling, anyway I still wonder if
cross-reading of IR beams can be a possible bias. If it isn't, I wouldn't
care about slight differences in focussing: slovakian Stereo-Mikromas had
the 2 lenses with focus fixed at different distances.
Neverheless I would be afraid of coupling cameras with programmed exposure
unless they have fixed focus; programmed exposure gets depth of field out of
control.
btw: http://www.widescreen-centre.co.uk/stereo2.html proposes 2 ukraynian
fed-50s with mechanical coupling: sorrily actual change rates make UK prices
strongly non-competitive.
