P3D a clean window

It has been said that a slip-in mount is ok "If one is using it for hand
viewing (like not having
a projector) then this doesn't really matter."

I'm sorry, but I believe it matters a lot. Whatever the viewing system is, a
poorly mounted/aligned stereo image is less than desirable. A clean stereo
window makes a clean stereo image! Why have floating edges?

In a hand viewer, one generally can tolerate a window violation better than
when projected (when the mistakes are magnified by a factor of thousands!)

When someone says that a poorly mounted slide (a la slip-in mount) doesn't
matter in a hand viewer makes me wonder if they understand the stereo
window. In my opinion, a hand viewer is the best way to view a stereo slide,
and it is VERY desirable to have the stereo window set correctly to enjoy
the scene properly.
