I am sorry that I don't have alot of time to explain
this so you will have to wing it with the info I give.

Here is the theory:

You want to put an LED light infront of the light
sensor so that the camera "thinks" it is in the
brightest sun. I used a green LED that cost about
$1.20. This will force the camera to shoot at F/22 at
500th of a second. This is why you will need to shoot
with strobes. I found that if I switched the ASA
setting on the camera it would change from f/22 to
f/16, but I don't know why.

You need to have a flash meter, because once you max
out the brightness, it doesn't matter what speed film
you use, you just set the ASA on a flash meter, and
measure the flash output at the distance that should
be in focus based on the focus attachment you are
using.

Even a cheap brand new $10 flash will be more than
powerfull enough for the macro stuff. You should use
diffusion on it.

I would think if you know alot about electonics and
had time to experiment you could actually create a
dial that would control how bright the light is, but I
never have tried it.
