Point well taken Bruce!

But why is this a "problem"?  I mean, I am accustomed to think
of the scene moving with respect to the window and not the other
way around.  And I have no problem with that.  I even tell
people when I comment in their SSA entries "move the chips to
bring the scene closer to the window".

When I brought this for discussion here some time back, most
people (I remember Ron Labbe in particular) said that they
always think of the window moving, not the scene.  Does it
matter at the end how you see it?  Aren't the two concepts
equivalent?  As you said, "technically" they are not equivalent,
but in practical terms, since convergence offers a very weak
depth clue, they are nearly the same thing.  Now, do I need to
repeat McKay's words?  Ok, I will... "if you don't see it, it
ain't there" :-)
