Yes this is very depressing. A lot of history is in that plant.
I think they likely moving reel production to Mexico, like they did the with
the Viewers in 97.

I have a sinking feeling this will indeed be the final blow to the personal
reel machine.

In today's Oregonian business section there is an article stating Mattel is 
closing Viewmaster Oregonfacility in August.  They don't know where the 
operation will be moved to yet.

Wonder what's happening to the Personal blank reel machine???
