Mark is right!

Here is what I wrote in the December issue of the Stereogram,
completing a two-part tutorial on the "Stereo Window":

---

Better Window = Better Stereo

Once you have recorded a stereo pair, perhaps the only way to
make a difference is by cropping and setting the stereo window.
A well-placed stereo window can greatly enhance the appeal of a
stereo image.

As an example, consider Mark Dottle’s image "Wheel in the Sky"
from our last newsletter, reproduced here. One of the judges
commented that the window is at just the right place. A small
shift of the film chips would have altered the window and
reduced the appeal of the image. I commented that such accuracy
in the placement of the stereo window can be the result of
either intense labor or just plain luck!

Let’s eliminate the "luck" factor. Learn to see and adjust the
stereo window for better stereo presentations!
