I will have to check my own Fed (not a Fed Boy) to be shure but I would
have thought the hole would be larger at 400 ASA than 100 ASA letting
through more light so that the exposure is shorter which is what the faster
400 ASA film requires. The Nimslo uses neutral density filters rather than
a hole to do the same job, with just one filter in place at 400 ASA and the
second is slid over it when the switch is set to 100 ASA, reducing the
light and giving a longer exposure.
