So sorry, I should have said "Larry's (Freudian) gag."  He mentioned an
object. :-)

Yes I have noticed this effect myself when moving entire images *with*
their frames, but it sounds as though the 2D projected frame of the true
Krause "gag"  provides a stable point of reference for distance, to
emphasize the apparent forward movement and overcome the paradoxical
response.  Am I reading correctly for a change?
