Hi everyone,
I need a little help here,
I am working with the exhibits director at Ellis Island and we need
photographs of school children holding or looking through stereoscopes as
part of their school lesson (3D or flat). We also need photos (again 3D or
flat) of families of modest means either looking through or just having
stereoscopes in their homes. Most pictures or stereos of this nature show
what appears to be families of financial means. What we basically are trying
to document, for an upcoming exhibit, is that stereo cards and stereoscopes
were just as prevalent in lower socio-economic families as wealthier
upper-class families(if this was in fact the case) If you know of any
Keystone cards of this nature, I could obtain copies from the Museum of
Photography - University of California - Riverside, from the identification
number on the card. Or does anyone remember any Stereo World articles on
this subject? Thanks for your help.
