well, if you're curious you can buy the plans and tell us: anyway both the
improved Loreo camera and te Franka splitter cost $45, so I don't believe
that $10 (the plans) + $20 (the hardware, as advertised) would be a great
deal. (unless one thinks the home-crafted device can give comparable
results).

I really can't understand why people often look for anaglyph conversion
software. I get anaglyphs in a few minutes just by setting to zero the R
channel of the left view and GB channels of the right view. Then I set
tranprency at 50% and overimpose the images to match the best stereo effect.
It remains just to do some adjustments to brightness and saturation & to
crop... Not more that the usual things any photo editor can do!

I'm tempted to try the same with a much cheaper camera (Horizon) & I wonder
how to calculate the stereo base.
what maximal horintal separation of matching points (linear parallax) should
I consider? books recommend 1.2mm for 24x36 and 3mm for 6x6 negs, say 1/30
of horizontal side or roughly 2° viewing parallax. In this case should I
consider the whole horizontal side or just an "angle of attention"?

why not anaglyphs?

I'm sorry, Claude, but I'm not able to decriptate your sketch. Anyway you've
just to plug the bayonet of the coupling ring on your splitter and screw the
whole assemby on the front of your lens.
Usually beamsplitters work on 50-55 mm lenses, but with I noticed parasite
reflexions with a 55mm lens. Those reflexions disappear if I mount my Franka
on a 40mm lens, so now I wonder if the Franka will also work on 35mm.
