P3D Focusing Circles Single SLR

I do not know the distance between the focusing circles. I suppose this
could be calculated with a graph style prism, or test shots using prints
but this information is not necessary. In fact, I just noticed that if I
stereo focus through my X4, the focusing circles overlap by the exact
distance between the 2 circles.:-) The common mistake using a single
SLR would be to shift only the near point by this distance, and not the
relative shift between the near vs far point in the image. Shift for
near vs far parallax, don't use near points alone. I don't recall
reading about this on P3d before, but I'm sure every facet of 3D had
been discussed long before I subscribed. :-) Mark Dottle
