P3D SI TNT Video captured...

Well, thanks to the help of several on this list, I was able to be ready
when the SI TNT special ran again this AM. I captured the whole 3D segment
directly from cable into and AVI file on my hard drive. This skipped a level
of degradation that would have been introduced by copying the show to some
sort of recording media, then using that to record the AVI.
I must admit that I am very pleasantly surprised. The 3D effect if far
better than it was when we saw it on out TV last week. Of course, it's a bit
smaller on the screen, but it actually looks OK at full screen playback mode
as well. The file ended up being 489 MB in size, so I will be putting it on
CD to keep it. I tried converting it to the highest quality RealVideo
possible, and that is OK, but not the greatest. It is only 6 MB however, so
for the amount of compacting that went on, it's surprisingly good. However,
this is too large for me to place it on my web site, and unless you were at
a place with a T1, you wouldn't be able to watch it anyway.
I hope to figure out a way to be able to share this with any of you that are
interested... Any ideas?
