The dust problem is more related to a) that the mounts
were heat-sealed; and b) that you ripped them open instead
of cutting them open. With cardboard "tape shut" mounts,
(like our Australian-made precision mounts at
http://www.rmm3d.com/supplies/spicer.html ) you can easily
open and reuse the mount without creating a West Texas dust
storm. Also, some people tape their heat seal mounts shut
instead of heat-sealing them permanently closed. You can
reduce (but probably not eliminate) the dust problem by
carefully cutting open heat-sealed mounts instead of just
ripping them open.
