In new Digest 11, George boasts:

<< >I am sorry but you are totally ignorant. Please
               >inform your perspective buyers that your "colored"
               >images are not true photographic images but crude
               >reproductions. Curling is not a defect, it is a
               >feature introduced on purpose.

Did I just make another enemy? Yes, definitely.
Do I care? Not really. >>

Am I the only one to see something wrong here?

Given that rare chance to educate, enlighten and inform someone,
George chooses instead to spit on this poor person. Not content to
leave this a private matter between Seller and (potential) Buyer, you
then have to cross post it to this list. You have not only offended
(seemingly deliberately and with malice aforethought) the Seller,
your boasting has offended me. You had an excellent (and all to
rare) opportunity here to Contribute to the Greater Good, but you
blew it. You have not just made (yet another) personal enemy,
George, but your public misbehavior puts at risk the public's
perception of everyone associated with you, even that of all Stereo
Buffs Everywhere. It is bad enough that the vast majority of people
out there already don't understand what we do, but now you portray us
as damned rude, too.

I'm not saying that the Seller should have been left in his
ignorance, although that may have been a better path than the one you
choose.

You could have just as easily chosen to word your message in a more
friendly manner. You could have even made a Convert to the Cause.
Especially as you are (usually) almost a one man band in promoting
stereo and 3d. What would it have cost you? A couple of dozen more
keystrokes? The only thing that could possibly (although only
partially) exonerate you would be if the Seller had previously given
you adequate provocation, but I'm pretty sure that if he had, you
would have already mentioned it. As Ray and Ken have so recently
reminded us, there are two sides to every tale. I'm confident that
the Seller in question isn't on this list (if he were he wouldn't
have so quickly and confidently in put his foot in his mouth). Why
don't we invite him in on this?

I don't know what gets into you sometimes, George. In person you are
one of the sweetest, even meek, men that I have ever met, but behind
the keyboard you change from Dr. T into Mr. Hyde.
