Opps - another one I didn't answer in a timely manner - Sorry!!

The transparency adapter is called:

"LIGHTLID TRANSPARENCY ADAPTER FOR SCANMAKER V300/V310/V600/X6"

Here is a page about it - shop around, there are more - I just
found this
one in a quick search for a LightLid.

As to settings, I chose the positive transparency setting, and
play around
with the color, etc until I like the preview, set it to 600 or
900 DPI and
scan it in. =)

Again, I recommend looking for some web sites with tips about
scanning
slides. There are some great ones out there, and even if they
don;t use the
same interface for their discussions, the tools are remarkably
similar from
one to another. Good luck!
