[photo-3d] Historical Realist Question

From: tantomheck <tantomheck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I picked up a Realist Red Button viewer at a local camera show. It came with
a Realist Grey/Green box. The box states Camera and Stereoscopic
viewer ST 41 & St 61. Inside is red cardboard. The viewer is neatly nestled
in its place on the left side. In a cardboard tray. The right side where the
camera presumably rested is fitted with red stereo slide holders.
I imagine after the camera was removed the box served a storage place
for the viewer and 40 slides.

Question is, was the camera just loose in the right hand side of the box?
perhaps in a red cardboard tray, like the viewer. Or was it boxed in a
Realist box of some sort. A camera does fit in the area and the box lid
closes properly. With the camera in a case, there is no way the lid closes.

I'm inclined to go with my cardboard tray theory but if any one has one
of these kits I'd appreciate knowing how the camera was mated to the box.

A picture would be ideal. If you have one please "E" mail it to me
direct tantomheck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks

Tom Heckhaus
