That's the only one of these I've ever seen, although I think
someone on the list mentioned rotating an ordinary beamsplitter
90 degrees to get the same effect. I never tried it. Of course
then viewing would become a problem if you didn't have the
special viewer. Certainly this setup looks awkward to use, even
if you _do_ have that special eyepiece for your SLR (which would
probably fit only a Canon). The prism takes the place of the two
inner mirrors in the usual beamsplitter, and is probably the
reason the unit is at an angle instead of pointing straight
forward. Of course you know I think Pentax had the better idea,
which is why their beamsplitter outfit is still made!  :-)
(And it's still my #1 choice for my own personal shooting.)
OTOH, if you're really into panoramic views, this may be just
the thing! (The auction is now closed, but for the curious it's
certainly worth a look--lots of pictures of the device.)
