Indeed Fresnel lenses are fascinating. I shot my 1st pics (to test G.Jacob's
method) just with the Fresnel lens stuck in front of my camera's lens. My
results were interesting (from my own point of view) but not exciting. Today
I introduced a "distancer" (a cut film box, similarly to Gabriel's can) & I
found the new results were much improved.
Obviously more distance between the 2 lenses allowed me to exploit more of
the central portion of the Fresnel's.
Less obvious: why does the "stereo base" appear increased???
