In New Digest #45, Mike K writes, in part:

<< using/getting a dichroic copystand light source is an alternative to
color correction filters. >>

Many of these lamp houses are made by the big traditional darkroom suppliers,
like Beseler, Saunders & Kaiser. They are really variations on a dichroic
enlarger head, just upside down, and often use the same carriers. So when
you wander the flea markets, keep that option in mind. You can sometimes
pick them up for almost nothing.

Mike continues:

<< I've noticed that the percentage one can save via
the "bulk" 100' roll route is MUCH higher with this film than
with other slide films. Savings could be as high as 80% if one
actually uses the whole bulk roll >>

I attribute this to the fact that most bulk users of this film are commercial
labs, and the film is priced low enough to be attractive to same.
