I also have made a large number of good experiences with a pair of air
bulb releases, but also a few bad ones. After a while (a few months,
less if the weather is warm and wet) the plastic material of the release
becomes softer and it grows, so that one of the releases gets a tenth of
a second later than the other one.  It happened to me once in Istambul,
I was not able to find photo shops (all written in Turkish), and I lost
the opportunity to make good stereo pictures there. Then it happened in
Jerusalem, it was much easier to find photo shops since it was also
written in English, but I visited many of them without finding such new
air bulb releases, and once more I lost the opportunity to make good
stereo views. Fortunately the next year I had my new RBT, without any
sync problems.
