Hello Eddie.
The simplest way I have figured out how to remember between different
cameras this is to move the camera the same direction as the film runs
through the camera in order to straight free view your negs. Most 35 mm
cameras pass film left to right so the pair would be shot left to right.
But, I have some cameras where the film goes the other direction. Also,
if I am doing hypers out of an airplane and I get a seat on the right
side of the plane, I invert the camera so my neg images are not
transposed. When I say freeview, I don't mean to cross-eye view but just
straight on. (Cross eye viewing makes the images seem smaller and
distant to me probably because my eyes are converged as they would be for
small objects and my brain is fooled. So, I just freeview everything
straight.) Cross-eye viewing would require that the camera moves
opposite to that of the film travel.
