Firstly, there is a world of difference between computer 3D and NTSC/PAL video
3D. I presume you are talking about computer projection so I'll skip the other
topic.
Secondly, the type of video projector you have is critical. CRT projectors are
compatible with shutter glasses - LCD and DMD projectors are not.
So, presuming you have a CRT projector...
Probably the easiest technique will be to convert your video file into
a row-interleaved format (sometimes called interlaced but I prefer not to use
that term since it causes problems later...). VREX might have some software
which would allow this. Alternatively there may be someone with a plug-in
for adobe premiere which will create the row-interleaved file.
The next step is to get the computer display into an interlaced mode (i.e.
odd lines are displayed, then even lines, etc). When you have a row
interleaved image on an interlaced display, this produces a field-sequential
3D image which can be viewed with shutter glasses.
There is some detailed information on problems with video compression, switching
into interlaced mode, etc in my conference paper "A PC-based stereoscopic video
walkthrough" available from: http://info.curtin.edu.au/~iwoodsa
Cheers,
Andrew.
