>From frustration as a result of breaking Realist lens covers, or
purchasing Realists with broken lens covers, I have created 2 repair
designs from ordinary household items that will allow you to SLAM the
cover open and closed as you wish. :-) These are relatively simple fixes
although difficult to briefly explain in word economics. I could ask Dr
T to review the modifications and possibly write a " do-it-yourself"
instruction page along with digital photos on his web site. If there is
sufficient interest,  or if others would like to share their ideas for
