I paid $517 each for mine plus extra memory. In a year, the price willbe
down by 30-50%

>(2) Is it zoom and if so to what focal length?

In 35mm terms the optical zoom is 40-320mm. There is also a 2x and 4x
optical zoom, but the 4x, especially, will give pixelated photos.

I have no idea at this point. However, the camera has a very low shutter
lag. (See www.imaging-resource.com for good reviews of the Casio and other
digital cameras and comparison photos.) The difference of two small numbers
is generally going to be less than the differences of two larger numbers.

The modes include full automatic, shutter priority (64 to 1/2000 sec.),
aperture priority (F/3.2, F/4.8 and F/8 and full manual. Until I know that I
won't trash the cameras, I am using my great hand coordination to synch the
shots :-(

See comment below.

The remote has a 3 ft. cord and has full controls - zoom, menus, focus lock
and shutter. There is a batttery and must be a chip to send coded signals
(only three contacts). I want to put diodes in the system to prevent
unfortunate signals.
