Looking at my Red Button viewer, it looks as if you could eke out a vertical
of about 7p or 28 mm (possibly as much as 29mm but that is iffy), and your
custom mount aperture could have a width of 23-24 mm.  The bottom of the
mount would be about 7mm and that would leave about 6mm for the top to stay
within the standard 41 mm overall height for the mount. Not bad.

Would it be possible to modify a Red Button for 8p vertically??? The mount
would probably need to be a little taller than 41mm for this to work.

I think that the TDC 116 carrier would accommodate a full frame vertical,
but someone who actually has one can confirm whether this is true or not.
