David, welcome to this list and I hope that you get a lot of enjoyment from
your Kodak Stereo.

My first stereo camera, about 25 years ago, was a Kodak Stereo 35.

A short article that I wrote a few years ago about this camera is located in
the files section of this Photo-3D list. Just log on to:
http://www.egroups.com/files/photo-3d/ You will need to use your password
or register for an eGroups password.

The item will not answer all of your questions, but it should be a good
start.

Do not use the camera's exposure guide - it was for the 10 ASA (now 10 ISO)
speed Kodachrome film that was in use in the mid 1950s. Use the guide notes
that come with some film, or better still, use an exposure meter.

In my opinion, the best way of learning about 3D photography is to join your
closest 3D club.

As far as books and further information about stereo photography are
concerned, have a look at some of the following websites.

http://www.stereoscopy.com/ This site has links to just about everything
3D.

http://stereoscopy.com/isu/ International Stereoscopic Union site - also
has a list of member Stereo Camera Clubs and contacts for further
information. There is also information about joining the ISU which publishes
the quarterly bulletin 'Stereoscopy'.

Best of luck with your Kodak Stereo 35 - you will have no excuse for sloping
horizons with the built in spirit level, one of the most useful accessories
for any stereo camera.
