[photo-3d] Intel Play QX3 Computer Microscope

I was in Wal-Mart today, and saw a stack of Intel Play QX3 Computer 
Microscopes being sold for $50 a piece:

They look like they might have some utility for doing low-rez stereo 
micrography.  You could put a dead bug under it, take a picture, move 
the slide a tiny bit and take another picture.

Anyone out there have one of these?  Are they worth it?
