[photo-3d] I am back - part II

So, what kind of subjects did I photograph?
About everything that I found interesting. Needless to say,
by now I have stereophotographed about every corner
in Athens, but I still found a few new subjects to explore:
Keramikos (the site of an ancient cemetery), the new
Metro (it is spectacular, "a must see"... clean and with
museum exhibits of things found on digging, including
a long display of a cross section with layers identified
and a grave with a skeleton part of it!).
My objective was to document how is Easter celebrated
in Greece so I can show my Greek school students. The
sound recordings were essential to complement the stereo
images. I confirmed my suspicion that stereo sound recordings
make a big difference over mono recordings in certain
sound situations. Like the sound of the sea water splashing
in the rocks. In 2d sound it is totally unimpressive. In
stereo it is amazing!
The combination of religious and civil traditions in 3d sound
and sight will make a nice program for the future.
To kill some of my spare time I took with me the 20 rolls
that I had left unmounted since last October and mounted
them in Albion and RBT mounts. I started doing this in
the airport, during some long delays (thanks to United
Airlines who messed my schedule, made me miss the flight
from Chicago to Germany thanks to a 7 hour delay from
Cleveland to Chicago! - On the other hand, Lufthansa was
great, a very nice airline, highly recommended for your
overseas traveling)
While in Greece, I taught my sister how to use ebay and I
think by now our family gained a new addict (after my brother
and myself).
Overall, a fun trip! Looking forward to seeing my stereo
slides tomorrow.
Now, back to work!
