[photo-3d] Stereocard Collection? Krainik?

In a recent Ebay stereocard auction (item #318905879), mention was made 
of the 
"Krainik Collection of Balloon Stereoviews, National Air and Space 
Museum, Smithsonian Institution".

I have been unable to find any other reference to the collection. Does 
anyone know whether there is such a collection of stereoviews and if 
so, where to find out more?

(PS. I _have_ heard of the NAS Museum and Smithsonian. I've even been 
there, but its not an easy trip from here :*)  )
