[photo-3d] Mark Sheilds and Kodachrome

Mark,
I too was a kodachrome die-hard until about the time Kodak stopped
making Kodachrome II. I have compared some older Kodachrome 64 to the
modern version and I find the older stuff was better all the way
around, grain, color, etc.
The newer KM-25 has some drawbacks with contrast being a bit too
high. I still use it outdoors on occaisions and get good results. But
my film of choice for stereo work is now Fuji Provia 100F. My latest
order to B&H included the same number of KM-25 rolls as 100F rolls. The
Provia 100F is finer grained. The Kodak produces more accurate color but
for flash work the 100F is a better choice. (For Me!) Your mileage may
vary.
Oh yeah, one other problem with kodachrome. I can't get it in any
film size but 35mm. So that means E6 for the medium format stuff.
