Is it made by 3M? Your description sounds a great deal
like the lens (and other things) cleaner cloth sold by
3M in a smallish piece for several dollars. Says it has
super-micro pores or threads or something like that. It
also works wonders almost instantly. Available in
ordinary stores like K-mart in blister packs. :-)

P.S. - Costco also sells 3M cloths which appear identical
with a bit less hoopla on the package. Theirs also
are quite a bit cheaper per square inch, it's about
four dollars per cloth that's bigger than a foot square.
Maybe it's of the same family. That cloth is called
ScotchBrite High Performance Wipe, "Ref 2010".
