It's co-written by Ian Howard and Brian Rogers. I haven't read it, but what
I hear is that the chapters by Howard are very complete (but dry), whereas
the Rogers chapters are too narrow & ignore large bodies of work.
Unfortunate, as generally speaking you can count on Howard to provide
definitive information.

Haven't read it, but I'm dubious. It probably deals mostly with Regan's own
research.

As George said, it's a classic, but perhaps doesn't contain enough specific
information on stereo & is certainly not up-to-date.
Can you tell a bit more about the level of detail you're looking for?
