Having recently missed a few messages myself, I did a bit of investigating.
I found that my ISP's POP mail server had been down for about 8 hours, and
during that time, all messages from every group I belong to at
Onelist/Egroups was not delivered. It seems that with the volume of mail
they must be delivering, you get ONE CHANCE. If the message is not
deliverable for some reason, they will not keep trying to deliver it to you
as is normally accepted. I can see why they would choose to configure their
system this way. SO, if you ever have any idea that your particular mail
system was unavailable for any length of time, for any reason, you may want
to visit the Onelist/Egroups site on the web to see if there were any
messages you might have missed...
