One of my favorite subjects is insects on flowers - I've gotten some nice
shots using a Nimslo with a
rectangular reading magnifier.  I also enjoy taking shots of circuit boards-
these sometimes come out looking like hyper shots of cities.  One technique
that's been discussed on macro3-D is using scanners to create macros.
On most flatbed scanners two scans of a 3 dimensional object shifted by a
few inches produces a lovely stereo pair.
I use half of a video tape box as a holder and glue whatever I'm scanning in
there, since it's important that the object not move between scans.  Jim
