At first I thought that the idea of "scanner macros"
was cute.  But if someone has a good SLR with macro
lens (or a good digital camera) and can control the distance
to the subject, the focal length, the exposure, the amount
of camera shift, etc., is there ANY reason to experiment
with scanner macros?
