***If I don't hear from any auto club members (AAA or CAA) who want to
try to take over my reservation (at $55/ night for the basic double
room, nonsmoking), I will cancel it in the next few days.***

FYI, as of last evening, the Sheraton Mesa had "a few rooms" available
under NSA at the $68 rate, and more of the higher grade rooms were still
available (e.g."Concierge" at $88 NSA rate). Possibly there were some
cancellations that went back into the room pool after the previous post
about no rooms being available. I spoke with the
general Sheraton reservation line (800-325-3535). In other words, it
would be a good idea to check with them again if you need a reservation.

If the NSA rooms currently available do fill, they still had "best
available rate" rooms for $99 through the central 800 # (above),
although the website lists $79 rooms as the "best available rate".

To speak with the hotel directly you can try 800-346-6372, or
480-898-8300, and
the website is http://www.sheratonmesa.com/. You may get different
deals and different info at different sites. -Linda
