I can't say anything about a one eyed viewer, but I saw the
same system demoed as well. This one was on a newscast - the really
amazing thing was that they had a monitor on the set, with a
football game playing. The news broadcast was of course 2D, but
I got a definite sense of depth *from the monitor on the set* in 3D.

I believe the inventors of the system kept it secret for a long time
because it was so simple it might not be patentable. The heavy flicker
pretty much doomed it, though.
