[photo-3d] Beginner Kits

This question from Howard of how to introduce people to 3D is the first
subject I ever asked about on the list. Of course not all beginners are
created equal. How's this:

For clever beginners with no money:
Prints from conventional cameras, trimming and mounting Holmes or View
Magic prints. Add a copy of Ferwerda and you have the best theoretical
foundation outside of P3D. (Cheap pandering to the list there.)

For moderate means and moderate intellectual energy:
Realist format camera with transparencies in slip-in mounts. Sunny 16 and
a standard photography book. Instant gratification, with at least some
introduction to photographic basics, but no burdensome mounting or 3D
theory.

For the wealthy and intellectually impatient:
RBT S1, RBT mounts, short pamphlet on using the mounts. Lots of pictures
to show, with minimal intrusion on one's valuable time.

Of course all three of these classes of beginner will eventually evolve
and explore as their curiosity and means change, hopefully.

Bruce
