>For what I do and like, Medium Format is of little use. I like
>spontaneous, hand-held photography, snapshots of family and
>friends. Good results with a minimum amount of difficulty.
>A reliable camera that I can carry wherever I go.
>I like to show my slides to family and friends, my Greek
>school class, our stereo club. I like to mix my images with
>older Realist slides, historical stereo views, even VM pictures.

Wow- a portable, reliable camera, a widely available, projectable format and
the ability to mix your images with vintage views and VM pictures - are you
sure you aren't describing a View-Master camera?
Your points about the advantages of 35mm are all good ones. I don't yet own
an MF camera, and I often tell myself the same things while being blown away
by the sheer magnificence of the medium format slides taken on $250 cameras
that folks bring to the 3rd Friday dinners in NYC. Jim Harp
