It undoubtedly is, but there's a thing to consider. It was
mentioned on the MF-3D mailing list. That's that the image
sizes in MF (say, 6x6 cm) are about the same as one's eye
spacing. So for practical purposes, this is the largest size
where a viewer can "directly" view the images side by side
with high quality lenses without going to prisms, mirrors,
or I suppose doing things like crossed-eye viewing.

P.S. - Yesterday, I picked up 6 rolls of (stereo) 2x2's from a local
photo store. Plain ordinary 2x2 processing of Provia 100F
35mm film. Took 'em out and dropped them into the viewer.
Magnificent, super sharp, almost grain free, full frame, and oh
so nice and easy.... beats the thirty rolls of uncut film
I've still got around of uncut realist-format film. :-)
