I'm sorry to hear about the loss of so many great images.  Am I
correct  that the RBT S1 doesn't produce standard 8P negatives?  Have 
you had problems with getting S1 negs printed before?  I'm afraid that
anything other than standard APS or 8P 35mm can no longer be trusted
to most overnight labs.  The good news is that there are more and
more affordable options for getting good quality prints from scans 
you've done yourself, if you can find a lab to just process (AND NOT 
CUT!) your negatives.

I've had great results using A & I slide mailers I buy from B&H in
New York.  The slides are always back exactly one week from the day I
mail them and they also do great Kodachrome processing.  Jim Harp
