[photo-3d] Primefim 1800 Film Scanner

I ordered one on a Monday morning from outpost.com and was using it the next
evening thanks to free shipping on US Airborne! The install was easy to my
laptop with USB and the twain driver was easy to use. I attached it to Corel
Photopaint 7. Color negs are easy to scan and the color balance is right on.
You get 2182 x 3009 pixels at the 1800DPI setting. 2041 x 3185 was the
resolution from a filmstrip. Scans take only 30 seconds or so, and you can
leave the cover open if you want to watch what is going on. It shouldn't be
too
hard to adapt it to stereo slides.

It comes setup for both slides or filmstrips. It isn't like the HP PhotoSmart
scanner in that you can scan neg slides or positive strips as well.

I am taking only slide film to NSA and the Grand Canyon now as I can scan the
slides to make 4x6 prints on the Epson Photo 870.

Hope this helps someone

Regards -Ralph
