Some more comments on eGroups and stereoscopy related lists.
Why was (is?) it so hard for Dan Shelley to get a COMPLETE list of
all the 3D e-mail lists?
First, there are lists on Listbot.com which has no search facility,
and there might be others anywhere.
Egroups has most lists, and has a search facility.

Entering "stereo" in the eGroups search field gives 61 groups,
most audio of course, but also 3Dsalon is found.

Entering "3D" gives 450 groups, most on computer graphics and games,
But also:
3D-DDD: Degenerative Disk Disease
3D-Online: Diet, Discipline and Discipleship

Entering "3-D" (hyphenated) gives 475 groups!

But entering "3D stereo" (two words, no "") gives only 5 groups
[One of them is photo-3d1 (with "1" added), Members: 4
and: No messages for this group. Dummy group?]

The point is that the eGroups search machine indexes all words of
the _Description_ . See help file:
   Q. How do I search for a group?
   A. Type a word (or several words) into the search box on any
eGroups page, and then click the "Go!" button. eGroups will
search through group names and descriptions for any matches.

The bottom line is that list owners / moderators should be careful
in the frasing of the Description, and eventually add a number of
pertinent keywords, at least:
3D 3-D stereo stereoscopy stereoscopic stereophotography,

eventually also: stereopicture stereopictures stereoview
stereoviews etc.
