Perhaps it might seem strange answering this from Australia, however I have
visited a couple of times and I can tell you a few places where I have been.

Top of one of the world trade twin towers is a great place for wide based
hypers. The Sony Imax is in upper Manhattan and has plenty of 3D IMAX films.
There are some 3D Motion rides in the Time Square area (42nd Street and
Broadway). Olden Cameras always have second hand stereo cameras - they are
near Macys at about 32nd Street.
