Hi
I had a similar model 716 deluxe projector that had seen better unrusty
days.
I sanded it and painted a primer on it - then i went to an auto parts store
and purchased a couple of cans of HIGH TEMPERATURE TEXTURED SPRAY PAINT - it
comes in several colors - I have refinished three different stereo
projectors - 2 in black and one in gray - they turned out simply beautiful -
better than original. It takes time to do it - follow the instructions to
the letter and you can achieve great results. I was going to refinish my 716
and sell it - but it turned out so nice - I kept it!
What I did was to take the projector completely apart and paint each piece
separately - be sure to mask off the name plates. The results can really be
spectacular. Good luck and please let me know how you're doing with the
project!
Sincerely
Rick Adams

P.S. - the paint runs about $6.00 - $7.00 per can - better get 2 cans per
projector as each metal piece needs 3 - 4 coats - but be very careful to
follow the directions to the letter for the best textured effect! Good Luck!
