[photo-3d] re: John Baird's tribute

Most of you probably don't know, but I was expecting John's son to 
bring his slides.  My tribute to John was mostly impromptu because I 
didn't know whether he would be there or not, and what he might bring 
with him.

It turns out David Baird attempted to drive to the convention to 
participate in his father's tribute.  He didn't make it much past 
Kansas City when his car threw a CV boot, and it took all of his 
travel funds to repair it.  This is why he and the slide show were 
not there.

And I thought I had technical difficulties.

In an odd twist, I will probably see John's son this week.  My 
grandmother lives near David, and she is in the hospital with 
hardware problems of her own.
