Hi All,
It was wonderful to see many familiar faces at NSA Mesa and some new ones
too. Sadly, we just didn't have enough time to do all that we wanted to do.
I was so beat by Sunday that I slept until 10AM and didn't get to the Trade
Floor until Noon. The time just evaporated! We are looking forward to
Buffalo next year, where we'll have more time since we will be bringing very
few sale items and virtually no room selling. I look forward to having some
fun!
There is much new and exciting news on the stereo digital horizon...
The Discovery Channel will be selling LCD glasses bundled with a Sharks
interactive CD during their Shark Promotion week next month. Interesting?
Perhaps... BUT how would you like to put your own stereo pairs on a CD and
watch it with the same LCD glasses?? Now that's interesting. YEP, it' s
going to happen. The tools are being developed and will be available FREE.
(You'll need Adobe's Photoshop) and a plug-in will be available to convert
2D to 3D. (Don't know how good that will be). In fact, the Company who
developed this is thinking of bundling it with Adobe's Photoshop for future
releases. The tools are not ready just yet, but when they are, I'll let you
know.
Meanwhile, you can check on the websites now, eventhough the tools for
making 3D images are not there as yet. Of course, INSIDE 3D Magazine will
have info also. Yes, indeed, it is still alive. Next issue coming this
Fall.

I think the ability to create your own CD or have your pairs published will
turn a corner on the 3D stereo scene. Think of the possibilities!!
