If the lenses (in a projector) are not matched then the
two sides of the stereo image have a different size.
You should be able to see this by looking at the
projected image without the glasses on.

In my experience, the TDC lenses are well matched.

After you focus both lenses for a test slide, you don't
need to adjust the lenses individually except if you
are using cardboard mounts where one chip bows
differently that the other.  So, the problem is with
the mounts and not the projector if the two sides
get out of focus differently during projection.
