Why not consider shooting slide film, picking the best images and having
them scanned to Photo-CD? With well done scanned files and some basic
digital imaging software you have total control over exposure, size,
cropping etc. Lots of one hour labs now have the ability to create
excellent prints from digital files. Advanced Digital Imaging
(www.adiweb.com) can do scans from Realist format slides for $2.00 per scan.
($4.00 per pair). Since you can have only the "keepers" scanned I think the
costs are comparable to other methods being discussed. Another bonus is
that you also end up with slides you can project or look at in viewers. Jim
